Ralph Lauren signed in the Gee’s Bend region of Alabama in the fifth business unit of Artist Residence program. The collection developed by the fourth generation crafter Claudia Pettway Charley and the fifth generation Loretta Pettway Bennett, a significant stop of American textile art, was presented in North America in July 28, in the world.
The limited number of produced collections are planted and created from recycled Ralph Lauren fabrics; ceramic tableware, painted in Italy, accompanied by collection. Free lines, denim-based designs with visible seam traces and geometric patterns bring their brand codes with quilt tradition; personal stories such as red triangle motifs representing the sons of Pettway Bennett are also processed into pieces.
5 percent of sales revenue is donated to the Equal Justice Initiative to support hunger in Alabama. Perhaps the most meaningful thing of the quiet luxury: a large brand, a small community is tilted with respect to the craft that lasts for generations.
