BMW has welcomed the third member into its Neue Klasse family. Designed with an all-electric SUV-coupé silhouette, the new BMW iX4 brings the brand’s vision of the future to the forefront once again. Translating the design philosophy established by the 3 Series and the iX3 into a more athletic and evocative silhouette, the model sets a bold new benchmark within the marque’s electric portfolio.
Offered in three distinct powertrains, the entry-level iX4 40 xDrive delivers 374 hp, the 50 xDrive produces 469 hp, while the performance-focused M60 xDrive unleashes 612 hp and 875 Nm of torque via its dual-motor setup—sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Under WLTP testing standards, the 50 xDrive achieves an impressive range of up to 828 kilometers. Powered by sixth-generation eDrive technology, cylindrical battery cells, and an 800-volt architecture, the vehicle supports DC fast charging at up to 400 kW, allowing it to replenish up to 387 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes.
Inside, BMW Panoramic iDrive and Operating System X take center stage, elevated by a 17.9-inch central display, the Panoramic Vision instrument panel, and an optional 3D head-up display. The flagship M60 xDrive further distinguishes itself with an M Sport steering wheel, 21-inch alloy wheels, red composite brakes, and a 430-watt, 13-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system.
The BMW iX4 40 xDrive and 50 xDrive models will arrive in showrooms in March 2027, with the performance-tuned M60 xDrive following shortly thereafter. BMW has announced that nine exterior paint finishes will be available at launch, with three additional Frozen (matte) hues joining the palette starting March 2027.
