Gucci has unveiled its new retail concept, designed as a reference model for the brand’s global store network, at its flagship on Paris’s iconic Avenue Montaigne, number 56. Spanning four floors and 1,480 square metres, the store redefines the brand’s retail vision through an architectural identity bearing the signature of Creative Director Demna.
Inspired by Milan’s ‘The Store’ Show
The concept’s roots trace back to the Spring/Summer 2027 runway show staged in Milan in September, ‘The Store Show’. The furnishings, displays and collection areas built as an imaginary boutique for that show have now been brought to life in the real store on Avenue Montaigne. The store’s first floor functions as an archive-gallery, while the second floor, called ‘Gucci Appartamento’, can transform into a single open space for events thanks to movable walls. At the centre sits a high-jewellery gallery, open by appointment only, placed at the heart of the experience.
Brand CEO Francesca Bellettini describes the new concept: “We translated what defines Gucci into a coherent language. This new concept is the result of a clear vision and meticulous execution.”
Bellettini stressed that stores remain a strategic priority in the brand’s recovery, while Kering CEO Luca de Meo noted that Gucci’s revival remains the group’s absolute priority. The new flagship on Avenue Montaigne stands as the first concrete example of this new retail language, which will extend to the brand’s other boutiques worldwide.
