Known for more than 50 years of bluewater sailing heritage, British yacht builder Oyster Yachts has marked a first in its history by unveiling its first power catamaran, the Oyster P60. Debuting at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS 2026), the 19.42-metre yacht is positioned as a new family member carrying Oyster’s sailing expertise into the power bluewater cruising segment.
Bluewater Engineering by Berret-Racoupeau
Oyster partnered with French studio Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, which brings more than 35 years of multihull engineering experience, to design the P60. The yacht measures 9.35 metres in beam, draws 1.70 metres, and offers a range of up to 3,500 nautical miles at an 8-knot cruising speed — enough, Oyster notes, to cover even the toughest legs of the Oyster World Rally, including the Galápagos-to-Marquesas passage.
Designer Olivier Racoupeau sums up the brief: “Our brief was to offer the space and stability of a 60-foot catamaran with the range of a true bluewater cruiser.”
Spread across 121 square metres of social space, the P60 features a 33-square-metre flybridge with a central helm, bar and an elevated forward sunpad, a hydraulic tender platform that carries the tender underway and lowers to form a waterside platform, and a panoramic saloon. The owner’s cabin spans 18 square metres, with two or three guest cabins and optional dedicated crew accommodation.
