Patek Philippe is holding its seventh Watch Art Grand Exhibition in Milan from October 2 to 18. Staged at CityOval (formerly Palazzo delle Scintille) in the CityLife district, beneath a 30-metre-high dome, the exhibition spans nearly 2,900 square metres — the brand’s largest Watch Art event to date. Fifteen themed sections bring together close to 500 watches and objects, more than 90 pieces from the Patek Philippe Museum, and 27 Rare Handcrafts creations made specifically for Milan. Admission is free; reservations are recommended.
The seven limited editions created for the exhibition carry details unique to Milan: a caseback inscribed “Patek Philippe Milano 2026,” dial centers with a “carbon” pattern inspired by Italian automotive design, and calendar indications in Italian. Two minute repeaters feature grand feu cloisonné enamel maps of central Milan, while the straps incorporate stitching that references the colours of the Italian flag.
Leading the series is the Calatrava Chronograph Instantaneous Perpetual Calendar Ref. 5978P-010: a 42mm platinum case, the new hand-wound CH 29-535 PS QI calibre, and a run of 120 pieces — the brand’s first combination of a chronograph with an instantaneous perpetual calendar. Two Rare Handcrafts World Time Minute Repeaters depicting Milan by day and by night (Ref. 5531G-012 and 5531G-013) are limited to just 5 pieces each. The collection also includes a white-gold Calatrava (Ref. 7007G-010, 200 pieces), a green-dial Perpetual Calendar (Ref. 7147G-010, 100 pieces), a red-dial Minute Repeater (Ref. 7047G-010, 5 pieces), and a blue-dial steel Aquanaut (Ref. 5167A-014, 250 pieces).
“The target was always to communicate about the passion and the knowledge of the brand, and not about selling. If the watch is working in Italy, it will work worldwide.”
Thierry Stern, President of Patek Philippe
Running alongside Milan Watch Week (October 1-4), the exhibition also brings visitors face to face with the brand’s current collection, calibre workshops, R&D rooms and historic pieces. The seven Milan-exclusive models will go on sale at select authorized Patek Philippe retailers after the exhibition closes.
