One of New York’s most iconic hotels, The Mark Hotel, is opening its first spa since it was founded, and it has chosen science-driven beauty brand Augustinus Bader as its partner. Opening this month, The Mark Wellness & Longevity Spa by Augustinus Bader marks the brand’s first dedicated hotel spa in the United States.
Personalised Care Built Around TFC8 Technology
Located at the hotel on the corner of Madison Avenue and 77th Street, the spa will offer Augustinus Bader’s signature facials across three dedicated treatment rooms. The treatments are built around the brand’s patented TFC8® technology, drawing on more than 35 years of research by Professor Augustinus Bader, combining precision nano-channeling, microcurrent, Biosonix ultrasound, full-spectrum LED and ionized oxygen therapy.
The spa will be open to New Yorkers as well as hotel guests, complementing the property’s existing 24-hour Technogym fitness centre, in-house personal trainer and in-room massage service. Coming after a restoration of the hotel’s rooms and suites that preserved Jacques Grange’s original design, the spa stands out as The Mark’s first major investment in wellness.
When judging a hotel spa, the number of treatment rooms, the scientific basis of the technology behind each treatment, and whether the spa is open to non-resident guests are quick indicators of how personal the experience is likely to be.
