Teksaslı coachbuilder Hennessey Special Vehicles is a very opposite bet in a period where the automobile world is looking for turbo and electric speed: Blackbird produces a 800-850 horsepower with a natural suction 6,2 liter V8 engine and brings it with six-speed manual gearbox, a less decreasing craft in the gitgide. 1.360 says the brand, not strength, but the strength of weight under kilogram is first to feel strength.
Blackbird, which is limited to 71 pieces, is sounded to the most selective corner of the collector market with a price tag of 2.5 million dollars; the delivery is planned to start at 2029. This is the clear evidence of the transformation of John Hennessey from an ordinary tuning workshop — not speed, a philosophy dedicated to the feeling of driving.
The announcement of Blackbird on 3 August was silent in the shadow of Monterey Car Week; the brand preferred the talk of the product itself, very from the crowded launch scenes. This measured posture reminds power to be expressed not always by shouting, but sometimes by an engineering decision.
