On September 23, Bentley unveiled Torcal in London — the first fully electric model in the brand’s 107-year history. The fifth-generation electric SUV, to be built at the Crewe factory, joins the current model range with a 5-metre body length and 460-litre boot.
The core version produces 821 PS and 1,194 Nm of torque, completing 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaching up to 250 km/h; the more performance-focused S version delivers 888 PS, 1,350 Nm of torque and a 0-100 km/h sprint of 2.9 seconds, reaching 261 km/h. Both versions draw on an 800-volt architecture with a 113 kWh net-capacity battery; WLTP range reaches up to 600 km, and the battery charges from 10 to 80 percent in just 16-20 minutes on a 400 kW fast charger.
Torcal is equipped with Bentley’s first-ever fully active suspension system and electronic four-wheel steering. Inside, Merino wool fabrics, Ombré Walnut veneers and Sunburst Aluminium details are used, alongside 16-way seats with massage and climate functions. Bentley CEO Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser describes Torcal as “a Bentley first and foremost.”
