Ferrari’s Special Projects program added a new piece of the brand’s coaching heritage: CZ26. The car designed for an American customer came on the face for the first time in Pebble Beach under the Monterey Car Week on 14 August.
The CZ26 built on SF90 Stradale platform has a two-box silhouette inspired by the Italian industrial design of the 1970s. The design was shaped in the leadership of Flavio Mansoni in Ferrari Design Studio; Argento Veloce body color is completed with Rosso Lampante details and with pigmented carbon fiber surfaces. It dominates technical fabric, matte surfaces and satin carbon fiber contrasts in the cockpit.
Hybrid power unit — dual turbo 4.0 litres V8 engine and electric motors — 986 horsepower and 590 lb-ft torque produce; 7,9 kWh battery provides fully electric range up to 15 mile. CZ26 reaches a maximum speed of 328 kilometers per hour and a acceleration of 2.5 seconds at 0-100 km/s — a quiet power show, without screaming.
