The MICHELIN Guide unveiled its 2026 selection for the Netherlands at a ceremony held in Maastricht. Of the 499 restaurants assessed, 119 now hold at least one Star, and the country’s fine-dining map gained two new Two-Star addresses: Azurite in Delft, led by chef Mario Ridder, and SUIS in Schin op Geul, helmed by Ralf Berendsen.
De Librije in Zwolle, the Netherlands’ only Three-Star restaurant, retained its title for another year; the Guide highlighted how Thérèse Boer and Nelson Tanate have carried the kitchen’s legacy forward in the spirit of the late Jonnie Boer. Seven restaurants joined the list with their first Star: Ambrozijn, Bij Sidney, De Cuijt, Le Epifaan, Nassau, Rozewied and Wild Atelier.
Ten new Bib Gourmand addresses brought that category’s total to 77, while the Guide also handed out its special awards: Young Chef went to Rozewied’s Noëmie Haentjens and Ferdy van Rijswijk, the Service Award to Château Neercanne, the Sommelier Award to Brut172’s Matthijs Vranken and Nouri Haj Romdhane, and the Opening of the Year title to Luwte in Groningen.
Announcing the selection, MICHELIN Guide International Director Gwendal Poullennec also introduced the Guide’s new editorial platform, Mindful Voices. The results point to a Dutch dining scene gaining international weight, with addresses that bring classic technique and inventive cooking onto the same stage.
