In the iconic fifth Street of New York, the Old FAO Schwarz toy store located in the GM Building, Moncler opened its largest store until now. The interior architecture of the space, which emits about 2.230 square meters, carries the signature of Gilles & Boissier, based in Paris, the interior architecture of the space that attracts attention with its nine-metered ceilings, reveals a design language that brings the urban energy of Manhattan under the same roof.
Two-story boutique welcomes the main collections of the brand on the ground floor, the Moncler Grenoble line dedicated to mountain performance clothing on the upper floor. The store also hosts special business association with Jony Ive’s design studio LoveFrom, offering personalized planting to “Moncler to Measure” workshop and equipment partnerships developed with Stöckli and Shaun White.
This opening for Moncler is the claim of redefined the location in the American continent of the brand, beyond a retail investment. The design approach that focuses on materials and crafts far from the show meets one of the most visible streets of New York with its quiet luxury understanding of the brand.
