Patek Philippe opens the most comprehensive example of the “Watch Art” Grand Exhibition series in Milan, the CityOval structure in the CityLife region. Geneva’s state-of-the-art manifact, welcomes visitors to the history of the brand, the production process and its craft in six separate theme halls.
The exhibition consists of a hall where the current collection is presented, a part of the museum parts of the brand, a workshop where rare handcrafts are shown live, a manifact, where production stages can be followed, a “Master of Sound” hall dedicated to alarm clocks and a space where the watch masters can watch while working. Introduction is free, but it suggests to book a brand.
The choice of Milan is not random; the city also stands out with the closeness of the collection base of the brand in Europe, as well as the historic bond that Italy has been founded with its psyche and craft culture. This kind of exhibitions for Patek Philippe is not the product, but a way to tell how the time is measured by hand craftsmanship; very than show, stage of patience and continuity.
