SEVEN Albion Nord Penthouse terrace, London Eye and Houses of Parliament view

The London Eye on one side, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben on the other; and the steady flow of the Thames down below. Situated at the peak of SEVEN, the final building of Southbank Place in London’s cultural heart, the South Bank, a four-bedroom duplex penthouse is poised to become one of the city’s most talked-about addresses. Featuring interior design by the award-winning British studio Albion Nord, the residence has been put on the market with a price tag of 20 million pounds.

As part of the 1 billion pound Southbank Place project—a joint venture between Qatari Diar and Canary Wharf Group (CWG) realized by Braeburn Estates—the penthouse brings a warm, intimate home feel to inner-city penthouse living with approximately 353 square meters of interior space and an 84-square-meter private terrace.

The New Route for Turkish Buyers: Southbank

The project holds particular significance for Turkish buyers in London. According to Savills’ international network, 19.5 percent of new-home sales completed in London in 2025 were made to Turkish buyers; this figure points to a notable increase compared to 2024, positioning Turkey as one of the most active international markets in the London residential sector.

Yasemin Öztürk, who is responsible for the Turkish market at JLL Residential, points out that the real shift is taking place in the regions where capital is flowing: while traditional wealth still prefers Knightsbridge and Mayfair, Turkish buyers are gravitating towards regeneration areas such as Southbank, Nine Elms, and King’s Cross. According to Öztürk, these buyers are investing “in London’s future, not its past,” by seeing the growth story, world-class amenities, and more advantageous value per square meter.

New York Elegance, London Spirit

SEVEN Albion Nord Penthouse double-height living area and terrace, London

Inspired by the understated elegance of New York penthouses, the design brings together rich materials, sculptural forms, and timeless details. Albion Nord, which undertook the entire interior architecture of SEVEN, seamlessly carries the soft curves and architectural silhouettes that give the building its character throughout the penthouse, while floor-to-ceiling windows virtually transform the 360-degree London views into a part of the home.

While exposed travertine and concrete surfaces are balanced with dark woods and warm-toned polished plasters, tactile fabrics in earth tones such as mohair and lambswool add warmth to the space. Most of the furniture was custom-designed for the space: pieces produced using traditional techniques by London- and UK-based artisans serve as a tribute to the 1951 Festival of Britain, which was once held precisely on this grounds.

Standout pieces include a hand-blown glass pendant by Carricks illuminating the center of the living area; a woven rug inspired by the flow of the Thames that connects the dining and seating areas; a handcrafted desk by Stride & Co; and a bespoke dining table by Albion Nord.

A Collection on the Walls

Artworks commissioned specially for the penthouse also impart an exclusive identity to the space. While works by artists such as Anne Griffiths, Philip Maltman, Karl Blossfeldt, Ines Fernandes de Cordova, and Danielle Creenaune reflect the vibrant cultural spirit of the South Bank, urban photographs by Alexsandr Babarikin that capture the dynamism of the city are exhibited throughout the home.

Ben Johnson, Director at Albion Nord, states that their aim was to create a living space that is as luxurious and contemporary as it is timeless, balanced, and evocative of a strong sense of belonging: “The bold combination of different materials gives the space a strong sense of home, while antique pieces add warmth, a rich texture, and a timeless character to the interior.”

Two Floors, A Single Flow

Spanning the 12th and 13th floors of SEVEN, the penthouse is accessible from both levels, which are connected by an impressive spiral staircase. On the lower floor, floor-to-ceiling double doors open onto an open-plan living space consisting of the main reception room, a dining area, and a kitchen with marble countertops equipped with Miele integrated appliances. Triple-glazed windows offer a panorama stretching from Battersea to Canary Wharf, and from the Houses of Parliament to the London Eye, while the study overlooks the City of London and The Shard.

The glass mezzanine on the upper floor brings light into the central gallery. The majority of this floor is occupied by the master bedroom suite featuring a fluted stone-walled bathroom, a custom-designed bathtub, and two dressing rooms; two further guest suites are located on the same level. All four bedrooms feature custom floor-to-ceiling headboards, with each room carrying a distinct atmosphere through its own color palette and artworks.

London on Your Doorstep

Residents of SEVEN descend directly via elevator from the lobby to the wellness club in the basement of Southbank Place, operated by Educated Body: featuring a 25-meter pool, steam room and sauna, extensive gym, treatment rooms, and a hair and beauty studio. The Royal Festival Hall and Southbank Centre are right on the riverside, while the National Theatre and The Old Vic are within a short walking distance. Direct access to Waterloo Station and the Jubilee, Northern, and Bakerloo lines also complements the appeal of the address.

According to Miles Wood, Sales Director at Qatari Diar, this is a penthouse that buyers “can connect with the moment they step inside.” Melanie Conway, Residential Sales Director at CWG, emphasizes that SEVEN offers the final opportunity to live at Southbank Place.
