Istanbul-based jewelry artist Sevan Bıçakçı has made headlines again after a win at the Couture Design Awards in Las Vegas. The “Daisy Fields Forever” ring, carved into rock quartz using the house’s signature reverse-carving technique, took first place in the competition’s People’s Choice category.
The win marked Sevan Bıçakçı’s eighth award at the 2025 Couture Design Awards, making the house the most-decorated jeweler in the competition’s history. At the ring’s centre, a solitaire diamond is encircled by daisies carved into the quartz, designed as a symbol of pure love.
Through his signature reverse-carving technique, Bıçakçı engraves three-dimensional, micro-detailed scenes into stone, turning each piece of jewelry into a work of narrative art. The house’s international recognition stands as one of the rare examples carrying Istanbul’s centuries-old goldsmithing tradition onto the global stage.
The Couture Design Awards are regarded as one of the most prestigious competitions in high jewelry worldwide, presented annually alongside the Couture jewelry show in Las Vegas.
