Singapore-based luxury hotel group Capella Hotel Group has officially announced its debut project in Dubai. Capella Dubai is set to welcome guests with 115 keys in 2030, within the city’s emerging waterfront district, Dubai Peninsula.
Where the Water Canal Meets the Arabian Sea
Set along the Jumeirah shoreline at the point where the Dubai Water Canal meets the Arabian Sea, the 210-acre Dubai Peninsula sits alongside brands such as Aman and Rosewood. The precinct brings together private residences, dining, retail, a superyacht marina, a kilometre of private beach and more than two million square feet of botanical gardens. Shahab Lutfi, Chairman of H&H, the developer behind Dubai Peninsula, pointed to the value the partnership brings to the city: “Capella Dubai will introduce a more intimate, service-led hospitality experience to the city’s resort landscape, adding depth and character to the overall offering.”
Roland Fasel, President of Capella Hotel Group, highlighted the brand’s selectiveness: “Capella has always been deliberately selective about where it goes, choosing destinations where we believe we can create something meaningful and distinctive.”
The hotel will feature suites with private pools alongside the roughly 600-square-metre Capella Suite, designed as a residential-style retreat. Among its five dining and social venues are a lobby lounge, The Living Room, a signature restaurant, and a rooftop specialty restaurant and destination bar. A nearly 70-metre rooftop pool, a beach-level family pool and the Little Stars kids’ club round out the family offering, while Capella Wellness brings together Auriga Spa, a fitness centre, the Mind Body Studio and an outdoor fitness area.
