Mercedes-Maybach‘s invitation-only ocean club project, Beyond Horizons, first announced this past June, has come into sharper focus with new interior renderings released this week. The 155-metre vessel, to be built by German shipyard Lloyd Werft, brings to life a members’-only “ocean club” concept and is scheduled for delivery in 2029.
Invitation Only: A Floating Sanctuary for 72
According to the newly released renders, Beyond Horizons will host up to 72 members and guests across 30 identical suites of roughly 74 square metres, each with a private balcony, plus six forward guest cabins. The interiors draw on Mercedes-Maybach’s automotive design language, particularly the brand’s signature rose-gold tone, pairing hospitality with a high standard of comfort.
The ship’s spa and longevity centre is developed in partnership with Swiss wellness brand Chenot, while the dining programme carries the signature of three-Michelin-starred chef Alain Roux and his family’s legendary British restaurant, The Waterside Inn. Across roughly 91,500 square feet of public space, guests will find a gym, a beach club with an infinity pool and direct sea access, a medical centre, bars and dining venues, alongside live music, art exhibitions and cultural programming.
A 70-metre support vessel will accompany the ship on its Mediterranean and Caribbean itineraries, handling tenders, watercraft, logistics and a helicopter. Beyond Horizons will sail the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean in winter.
When weighing an ocean club or superyacht project, the delivery schedule, the references of the building shipyard and the total size of the shared spaces are quick indicators of how concrete the promise really is.
