Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita has introduced a new pair of rituals that lift caviar out of its usual formality and carry it into two distinct narratives. Available from 23 September, both experiences centre on Petrossian’s Royal Daurenki caviar — one set within the refinement of Pan-Asian cuisine, the other within Mexico’s earthy, close-to-the-land flavours.
The Caviar Quartet at Aramara restaurant offers a four-course tasting journey from yuzu-kosho tuna tostada to a foie-gras brioche crostini, while La Hora del Caviar, served at Cora Lounge and via in-room dining, ties caviar to Mexico’s afternoon ritual with local touches such as jicama, roasted corn, huitlacoche and corn blinis — guests may also pair the experience with Moët & Chandon Rosé Champagne.
John O’Sullivan, the resort’s Regional Vice President and General Manager, explains the thinking behind the initiative: “Caviar has long been associated with a very particular kind of formality, and we saw an opportunity to approach it differently.” The result is a quiet gesture showing that luxury need not always sit at a measured table — sometimes it can exist on the beach, under the sun, alongside a local flavour.
